In recent years, eLearning has grown to be a popular choice of education. With eLearning’s many advantages, it gives new educational opportunity to many who could not afford the cost or the time. Especially working class people and family orientated people.
The greatest advantage of eLearning is that it allows users to learn at their leisure. Novices are able to progress at their own pace, while veterans of the topics are able to breeze through quickly. This method creates a flexible balance of work and school according to the user’s schedule. Even with comprehensive eLearning programs, it is typically less expensive than traditional degree programs.

Unfortunately eLearning is not for everyone. ELearning requires the user to be more self-motivated, however some people are more driven by the physical environment of a class. ELearning is known to have it’s own disadvantages. The technology that brings eLearning to life is also its’ Achilles’ heel. While technology is becoming more stable, there are still instances of technological failures. Communication with the instructor and fellow students are also limited and in most case never face to face. Students have fewer opportunities to learn to communicate verbally and opportunities of actual networking. Above all, working alone could be unmotivating for many people that are used to traditional classroom environments.
